Woman tries to kill self and kids

26-year-old Devayanai d/o Gurunathan who had an argument with her husband thought the best way out was to take her own life as well as her three young children, Narjigan 6, Suman 5, and 9 month old baby Nishalini.
The mother and her two older sons, aged six and five, are now in the ICU of the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Seremban, while the youngest child, who is nine months old, is in a normal ward.
His mother-in-law found the children frothing from the mouth at 8.30am yesterday morning when she walked into the their room after failing to find her medication.
“She then rushed into our room and saw my wife also frothing from the mouth. When she failed to wake her up, she sought a neighbour’s help and he called me,” the husband said, adding that he then rushed his family to the district hospital.

MEASAT-3a satellite successfully launched
Malaysia’s newest satellite, the MEASAT-3a successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan on Monday at 3:50 a.m (5:50 a.m. KL time). The satellite was launched on a LandLaunch Zenit-3SLB launch vehicle.
Built by the world famous Orbital Sciences, MEASAT-3a is designed to expand capacity and in-orbit redundancy for MEASAT’s customers. The total project cost for the MEASAT-3a satellite is around US$165 million (RM550 million).
After the completion of the mission, the satellite will be separated from the launch vehicle and acquired by control centers at the Orbital Sciences facility in Dulles, USA and at the MEASAT Teleport and Broadcast Center, CyberJaya, Malaysia. After extensive in-orbit testing, the satellite is planned to be commissioned into commercial operations by the end July 2009.
